Description:
The Electrical Transmission and Distribution (ET&D) Partnership developed an OSHA accredited course to ensure effective training for both management and employees. This course is designed to educate supervisors (i.e. general foremen, foremen, foreman candidates) within the electrical transmission and distribution industry on how to affect a positive safety culture on their worksites by addressing core elements of an effective safety and health management system. It emphasizes the important role of crew leaders and their ability to save lives and to create a safe culture in the outside line industry. This course is to train trainers for the ET&D Supervisory Leadership Skills Outreach Training Course. Graduates of this course who meet the appropriate qualifications and requirements will be able to teach this course at Area-wide Joint Apprenticeship sites and at an individual employer’s locations. This course is a 2 1/2 day course that meets on Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22 from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and from 8:00 am until noon Sunday, October 23, 2011. Lunch is provided on both days. FREE access to the NECA Show on Sunday including the Technical workshops and the showstopper showcase.
Class is limited to 15 students.
Please note that every state handles licensure and continuing education credits differently. To avoid confusion, NECA strongly recommends you check with your state authority whether they will grant these CEUs for management education programs held at NECA 2011 San Diego.
