Speaker Bio:
Lake Coulsonis the Executive Director, Government Affairs for the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). NECA works extensively with the White House, Congress, and federal regulatory bodies to help the nation’s leaders understand the concerns of electrical contractors from across the country. Coulson is working to expand NECA’s legislative portfolio and increase the number of grass roots/key contacts within the NECA membership. Among NECA’s legislative priorities are monitoring FASB’s proposals, pension and tax reform, energy policy, and advocating for legislation that would address employers who misclassify employees as independent contractors. During the last election cycle, NECA secured over $1.7 million in contributions for NECA’s Political Action Committee (ECPAC). Coulson has nearly 17 years of experience working in construction/appliance related trade associations, including the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC), the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI), and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).
Please note that every state handles licensure and continuing education credits differently. To avoid confusion, NECA strongly recommends you check with your state authority whether they will grant these CEUs for management education programs held at NECA 2011 San Diego.
